Project cargo, from working it out to carrying it out

  • Unfamiliar load ports and routes

  • Our agent network

  • Transparent costs

Where no route exists yet
Some shipments do not run along an existing track. A machine from Italy, equipment from Manila, cargo from Sweden: the destination is clear, how it gets there is not. Clients engage us to work that out, using our own knowledge and our agent network. What we build along the way stays usable: the next shipment on the same route runs on the chain we set up before.
  • Working it out

Which load port, which agent, which vessel and which documents. We work it out before anything moves.

  • Agent network

Long-standing partners we have worked with for many years, plus the G7 and UCN networks for destinations where we are not present ourselves.

  • Transparent costs

Local costs are passed on as they are, with our fee shown separately. On project cargo too much changes at the last minute to put a fixed price on it.

  • Case: Pile driving equipment from the Philippines, two routes for one delivery

For a European rental company a vibratory hammer and a power pack had to move from the Philippines to Europe, over 45 tonnes together, plus accessories. The accessories would not fit through container doors, so they went in a 40ft open top to Rotterdam. The heavy pieces travelled on a MAFI trailer by RoRo from another port, to Bremerhaven. Fumigation was only possible in Manila, not at the factory.

    The result

Both shipments delivered, despite changes in equipment, port and handling.
