Importing dry food, from load port to warehouse

  • Rice, spices, nuts and pulses

  • Frozen goods too

  • Single point of contact for the whole chain

It is decided at loading
With dry food, what goes on the documents in the country of origin decides whether your shipment moves. We agree the documentary requirements with your supplier at the moment the container is loaded, and coordinate the rest of the route: transport, inspection by the authorities and customs clearance. We work for wholesalers, cash and carry and distributors in Asian food, who have a single point of contact with us instead of three parties waiting on each other.
  • Commodity code verified

Your supplier’s code is rarely the EU code. We check it against ingredients and composition, using a database built from hundreds of shipments.

  • Inspection planned at loading

We assess in advance what the authorities will want to see and have your supplier load those goods by the door. On arrival only that part has to come out.

  • Declaration ready to file

Per shipment we supply a worked out instruction to customs brokers who know this field, in Rotterdam and Antwerp.

Your cargo, our experience

Markets

We know the documentation, the procedures and the pitfalls that come with your sector.

Markets

  • Case: Only the inspection pallets out, the rest straight on

An inspection does not require the whole container to be unloaded, provided the goods to be checked are reachable. We assess at booking which goods will be inspected and instruct the supplier to load those by the door. On arrival the container goes to an approved warehouse, only those pallets come out, and the rest continues to the delivery address once released.

    The result

Less warehouse handling, and the container leaves the terminal inside the free days.
